The 2006 OPEN DOOR
Festival of Music
CELEBRATES
6 YEARS!

As always,
the evening's proceeds
will go to the Red Door Family Shelter, an incredibly worthy
and important beneficiary
of a festival dedicated to
believing in ourselves.

Busting with fabulous
Canadian musicians,
we aim to introduce you
to several gems that you have not yet heard of.

Come be a part of an event that
makes a real difference
in our community and
boosts your karma!

Sheila Carabine + Amanda Walther formed DALA during the summer of 2002. Amanda was born with an innate understanding of music + has rightfully earned her title as the "Harmony Machine" while Sheila studied piano with the Royal Conservatory for 11 years. Combined, their vocal range spans from the darkest depths of the scale to undiscovered + frightening heights. In November of 2003 they signed a 5-year artist development deal with Big Bold Sun Music, + in the summer of 2005 they signed to Universal Music. In their young career, they have opened for the likes of Jann Arden at Massey hall, impressed audiences all over Canada, sold out of CDs at last year’s Mariposa + Barrie Folk music festivals, + can now be seen on CMT and on Much More Music where their latest video is on rotation. Watch out for this up + coming collaborative duo!
